Wow, ppl really get out sometimes hehe
Few that come to mind: Nine Inch Nails - By far the best concert experience I've been to KMFDM - my most fav bad ever! So of course they rocked (and they certainly did!) - PROOF! Godsmack - Before they got popular (hell I went with someone else, didn't even know who they were), pretty aproachable guys too Gravity Kills Pitchshifter Ice Cube - years ago, my rap phase |

Here's my list:
copy verbatim the top section of kcarlile's post (starting with Metallica and ending with Days of the New) Also, in no particular order: Metallica (acoustic) Bela Fleck and the Flecktones x2 David Brubeck McCoy Tyner w/Stanley Clarke (WOW!) Charlie Parker w/Norah Jones (WOW!) Rush Pearl Jam (acoustic) R.E.M. (acoustic) Ben Harper (acoustic) Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals x2 Dave Matthews Band (acoustic) Blues Traveler (acoustic) Smashing Pumpkins (acoustic) Alanis Morissette (acoustic) Neil Young (acoustic) CSNY Joe Satriani Body Count G. Love and Special Sauce Josh Ritter Paul Pena (amazing! mixes the Blues with Tuvan throat singing) The ones I noted as acoustic were seen at a couple Bridge School Benefit concerts.

Boy do I need to go to more concerts!
U2 (3x - all incredible) Béla Fleck & The Flecktones (the most fun concert I've been to) Metallica - nice show, but the new songs paled live Mudvayne (same concert as Ken - they sucked big time, and it wasn't just the sound system) Linkin Park - ditto the vaguely ok Limp Bizkit - I can't believe some of my money went to these guys Cake - was alright, the singer seemed a little arrogant And some barefoot Brazilian multi-instrumentalist new age jazz musician who was a little too new-agey (a quote: "you know, we're all like hair, growing in different directions" ![]() ![]() |

I'm young and poor so I've only seen:
Jack Johnson Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals Hed P.E. Saliva Mudvayne Breaking Benjamin Systematic Monstermile, I didn't see one of the best bands of all time on your list, Queen! And what was your favorite concert? My dad constantly raves about the Kiss concerts and how todays acts suck by comparison... |

Wow, I feel very sheltered
Rolling Stones U2 Fun Loving Criminals Alanis Morisette (before you start laughing it was for OLP) Our Lady Peace 2x Big Wreck 3x Moist The Watchmen Pearl Jam (great show despite Eddie's political rantings) GOB The Headstones Nickleback (wish I hadn't wasted the money) Default (ditto Nickleback comments) The Tea Party The Smashing Pumpkins The Tragically Hip (any Canucks out there that haven't seen them???) There's plenty of others in here I'm forgetting. Saturday night I'm going to check out the Pixies, and this is probably as excited as I've been to see a concert in a while.

Bela Fleck is pretty awesome live, isn't he? Very polished. I saw him before I became a fan. I never thought that music without words could have such popular appeal!
Sting was great - but his show was short. You know what shows I really loved? The Lillith Fair shows were awesome! Lesbians a-plenty, a few straight chicks and me and my buddy - what can I say, I like chick rock! Those were fun shows. And Sarah Maclachlan has to be one of the best live performers I have ever seen. (Forgot about this tour) Don't forget Wu Tang Clan & Rage Against athe Machine. Talk abotu angry white kids and angry black kids mixing for some good old mosh-pit fun. It was a surreal experience to say teh least. |
