If you take into account room acoustics--it is often easier to place a monitor and sub to get a flatter response.

With floorstanders it is potentially more difficult to get room placement right. I think there are pluses and minuses to both.

Anyone hear the Totem Mani 2? Bookshelf rated down to 29Hz. Interesting push/pull design with the woofer. I haven't heard them, but based on those specs I'm really curious. Of course, there is the $4000 price tag. . .Ho hum.
