I'm a WWII history buff. And though I was Army, for whatever reason, I was more interested in the Pacific theater than I was in the European theater. And, though there were actually more Army in the Pacific theater, the Marines and Navy were the center of attention. This was largely McArthur's fault. His PR campaign focused on one man (guess who), rather than on the soldiers. I Have read much about the Guadalcanal campaign, and have a copy of Chesty's biography, Marine.
