I think you will need to use the RCA type plug 5.1 hookup to your receiver to get SACD from the OPPO. The HDMI connection will carry all the Blue Ray audio modes but I don't think the SACD mode will be carried by HDMI. At least that's my understanding. The 5.1 cables will also carry the Blue Ray audio modes since the Oppo has decoders for everything. We need someone who is familiar with the Oppo to jump in here.
