Oddly enough, I do miss the winters (went to college in Indiana for a bit) sometimes. 83 degrees F year around and going to the beach in January can get boring
I also attended university in the Midwest (People’s Republic of Madison). If I never have to be near snow again it will be to soon. Actually Hawaii gets a little cold for me. A couple years ago on Pearl Harbor Day I was launching and recovering my plane at Hickam freezing my butt off in the wind and rain.
But surfing in January w/o a wetsuit is always cool. To bad the last 2 times I’ve been there the swells were not even as good as SoCal. What’s the point of going to Hawaii if there’s no surf…oh yeah Japanese girls.
