Soon, there'll be nothing more to invent, so we must close down the patent office as a relic of antiquity.

The first batch of 4k displays only allowed for 24fps at full resolution. When HDMI 2.0 becomes available it will allow for up to 60 fps at 4k. But there's nothing else special about any of the UHD stuff that allows for better motion than that.

I kind of prefer the insee vs the outee as far as appearance goes but I'd choose one over the other if it was better from a sonic perspective.

Sweet. I have used a different approach, with etymotic in-ear phones that reduce external noise underneath a basic ear protection headset. I agree, mowing and blowing leaves are much more pleasant experiences that way.

I have to throw a "thumbs up" out to this noise-reducing headset. I ordered them from Amazon a few weeks ago and tried them twice while mowing the lawn....once while listening to some good weekend NPR programming and once while listening

I built a platform like that and just used rope at each corner - had to be lowered manually, one corner at a time, but in general it stayed at one level and items were added or removed via a step ladder. It worked well, but Mrs. Classic hated it.

I like the 4 pulley idea. Done right you would multiply the weight capacity/safety margin.

I'm waiting for TNG to come down in price. $80 a season is too much. Its pretty obvious it will be on SPACE in HD eventually. TOS already is. Might have to wait it out and not purchase them at all.
