new set up
i need to finish around the screen, add a sub and surrounds. also waiting for an amp and pre/pro. and some finishing touches to the room. not sure what i want for surrounds, a pr of qs8's, or in walls... any suggestions the room is 11'6" x 18'

I think even the center chair might still be a little to close for direct radiating speakers, you can't go wrong with the QS8's.
Sunfire makes some very good subs or so I have read, but I have only heard one older one so I really can't say too much.

there are french doors leading into the room to the right of the screen, not in any of the pics. that door is a pocket door i had the builder put in, it connects to bedroom 3's bathroom, allows me quick access to where an amp rack will reside... Well that's no fun. With that setup I fully expected you to say you were planning on living in there

Man every time I look at those speakers they look ... BIG! and heavy, movers put them in the basement, my fiance was shouting the orders a few weeks ago when moving in...i carried them up 2 flights to this room...

That was a chore I bet, how did they ever get delivered to your house without being damaged? I have a vision of those things snapping in half or breaking somehow or another very easily if not handled gingerly.
