Whippersnapper's Set Up
Here are some pix of my home theater set up in the great room of my log home. You all know how good it sounds, so I won't try to come up with new words for it.

Deer like listening to Axioms too. The color blends so well. Nice job.

"Go ahead, punk, try to take my QS8 down..."
Beautiful space. I thought that I was reading the Got Wood thread for a minute there.

Nice! What sub are using? It's a Klipsch that I've had so long I can't remember the model number. It's got a 12" cone and a 250-watt amplifier. It's down to the low 30-hertz range and fills the room pretty well. No doubt an EP-500 would blow it away, but that wasn't in the cards at this time.

Very nice setup! Watch out for that deer, though. He's eyeing that QS8...

Actually, the deer mount is a clever acoustic baffle designed to counter the build-up of upper-lower-mid range frequencies that otherwise pile up in that 45-degree corner, in part due to the shape and thickness of the logs, and also as a function of the acoustic coefficient of lodgepole pine. Normal sound traps don't seem to help, but careful acoustic modeling with a Cray supercomputer showed that a fur-covered object in approximately that shape with precisely that number of antler tines would solve the problem. Luckily, my wife shot the buck that matched the description the very next season...
