Heard and found at the bottom of m80s
Anyone know what these are and where they came from?

no idea, I would think Axiom could tell us, some type of bracing maybe, doesn't look normal to just be sliding around inside.

Hi I realize this is a very old thread and I don't hold much hope for a reply but I recently found a number of the same interesting items in the bottom of my M80v2 speaker. Did you ever find out what they were and why they had presumably become dislodged?

This is Axiom intellectual property. It has something to do with lowering the Q across the family of curves.

My question was not one of just curiosity but a desire to determine if they had somehow led to an issue that I have with the speaker. I believe my "Q" is fine, however when I realized that the tweeters were not working I pulled the crossover out and along with the strange items I found the crossover to be damaged. A coil had obviously been over heated and was partly melted. This is the same speaker that I recently had to replace a woofer in as well. I also recently replaced a mid in the other speaker so I am concerned. I will be taking the speaker to the factory next week as I live in the area and hopefully get things worked out. Love the Axiom sound but starting to think I may have purchased a set of lemons.

No I got them used from an Axiom employee. They are version 2 so far from new. Was so taken with the sound that I began replacing my mostly Klipsh setup piece by piece with Axiom starting with a set of QS8s from Axiom. Had planned to save up for a set of LFR 1100s or the front and move the 80s to the side eventually.Found an old pair of QS2s online. Sound great for such a tiny speak.

I believe i read something Ian had said that these were braces for shipping and were harmless. I had my speakers apart completely and i did not find any braces but mine are V3 so they must have stopped using them .

Thanks.... that's reassuring Socketman. Wish I could trade up Mojo but that offer only applies to product purchased direct from Axiom. My other Axioms all work flawlessly. Hopefully their techs can sort out the 80s and I can continue to enjoy the Axiom sound. Thanks Guys
