That is funny Rick, I find myself doing the same thing on my 350. There is not a lot of light in the corner where it resides so it is hard to see the white line as you mentioned. Currently I have the volume set at 12 o'clock on the sub, and at 0 dB's on the receiver. For movies this seems a good overall setting, however, for some CD's I find my self turning up the levels on my receiver with the remote. I have the receiver set at 80hz crossover and all speakers set to small.
