<< jefpar? It looks as if we are in the same boat! Stick with what we've got for a while and work toward some sort of compromise or trade that will allow you to upgrade in the future. >>
Yes, I *would* like to try the M3's (I love 'em dearly) in my new space before jumping toward any sort of upgrade. And it'll be summer (at least) before my room will be ready, so ... it'll be a while before I reach any conclusions.
