Either holes in the table, or mount them on the wall or on stands that allow the driver in the bottom of the speaker to operate. You can just prop them up on something temporarily if you wish. They only need about 3 inches of space beneath them for the driver to "breathe" properly.
Some have used soup cans to prop up the QS8s (how crass!
). I, on the other hand, went first class, and had each of my QS8s propped up on two stacks of paperback books for awhile. OK! OK! For a year.
Stop laughing! They were very high class books!
