Ah yes, my mistake. The 630 outputs OSD to S-Video, it just won't convert a composite signal to S-Video.

The 135 manual seems to be borrowing from the Denon school of technical writing -- it says "the receiver will not convert composite or S-Video to component", which might make one suspect that it does convert between composite and S-Video. Other parts of the manual, however, imply that if you use a particular type of input you need to connect the corresponding output to your display, ie that it does not convert.

The 630 manual has similarly vague wording, with the veiled implication that it *might* convert between composite and S-Video, however based on my quick experiments it does not seem to convert a composite input to an S-Video output.

Therefore, options 1, 2 and 4 (do nothing) are still valid but option 3 is only workable if you obtain a composite to S-Video converter (wherever the heck they come from ).
