The days of dollar gas are history, and the days of two-dollar gas are probably gone for good as well. Which is overall, I think, a good thing. It truly sucks that gas prices have drained the budgets of so many people and driven up consumer prices secondarily, but it seems to be the only way for society to wake up to the fact that fossil fuels are a limited resource, and that we had better get planning for the days after petrol. [If you thought that the days of expensive gas are bad, wait until you get to the days of no gas!]
