I've had it since early July. No problems whatsoever. I can't tell you how it is to watch from the close end of the couch cuz I've never sat there and watched (I get the sweet spot
). However, at about 5 feet from the center of the screen (less than 4 feet from the closest edge), and at that severe an angle, while watchable, I don't think it would be exactly ideal. If possible the closest one should be from the 56" is about 7 feet.
