My specific concerns are that when my M80v2 order
recently arrived the cartons were marked M80ti. One of the
cartons had a one foot rip front center, looked to be kicked
in.

I think all my cartons were marked "ti" as well - I don't remember if I ordered in the ti or V2 era - since the dimensions of the products didn't change, it would be wasteful to throw out the back stock of the shipping cartons.

As for damage to the carton, we must live on the same Purolator route. Axiom employees have chimed in here about the torture testing they do on the shipping materials, but never underestimate the ability of a warehouse rat at the courier end in finding a way to damage the cartons. Only two of my speakers were damaged even though all but one carton was. In one case, looks like a forklift driver managed to put a fork through the carton and one the driver must have dropped off the truck.

That said, I've probably had one of the most numbers of shipments from Axiom with 6, I believe.

I wouldn't really worry about the carton taking damage unless you see or actually hear a problem with the speaker... the floating inner packaging they use is very resiliant.

Give them a call on the ti and v2 question, though.
