I had to respond because my theater has the same setup. I have an Outlaw 1070 receiver, M22s, VP150, and QS8 and QS4s. I also have the LFM-1. In my room, which is slightly smaller, I can get plenty loud and have great sound. I think the Outlaw/Axiom combo is very nice. I think HSU is similar, but I have not heard any other sub with my system.
The 1070 is nice because it lets you do alot with the sub x-over adjustments. One of the few receivers I found that let you set the channel x-over individually.
Oh, and if you are putting the LFM-1, or any downfiring sub, on carpeting get something called a SubDude.
