and if people don't hear a difference, due to the very very low investment, they probably won't send it back. I mean, whats 20 bucks when you have thousands invested in equipment. That way you end up with over 5000 satasfied customers that you can use in your maketing to get more people to buy.

What movie was that? They needed to come up with some cash and the idea was to sell some widget. They would send some junk out and when people asked for a refund, send them a check with "Giant DI#@DO company" or something more vulgar. The assumption being that no one would cash the check because they would be too embarrassed!
