Hi anon

Seems to me that with either the M60 or M80, you could throw away a 50 watt subwoofer. I know the M50s I just got put out much more bass than a 50 watt active sub would. (my receiver is rated at 100 watts per channel.) If your room is 12 x 12, seems to me you'll be a bit pressed for space with these speakers. I know the M50s are large and heavy, I assume the M60s and M80s are even larger. What about a set of M3s to go with a small sub in a modestly sized room? Might work out better (sound wise) and leave some room for the socks.
