If mine would ever get the RROD I don't think I would be covered under the extended 3 year warranty anymore. I purchased it in 2005. The key to 360 longevity is to keep the 360 and power brick (yes it gets very hot) well ventilated and NOT tucking it into an enclosed space in the home theatre center.
