I would mount them high and upside-down to get the tweeters a bit closer to your ears and the woofers a bit closer to the ceiling for that tiny extra bit of bass reinforcement.

I was going to remind you to carpet the ceiling to control those nasty first reflections, but decided you might think I was kidding about the upside-down mounting as well.
