Well on the Epic 60 system it suggests a room size between 2000 and 6000 cubic ft. Not only do have to factor in the distance between you and the main speaker, but also the distance between the main speaker and the front wall, and the distance between the listening position and the rear wall. There are some basic guidelines to follow when trying to determine how far into the room you speakers should be like distance of the main speakers from the front wall would be Height of your room x 0.618, and distance from the side wall to the main speakers is width of room divided by 18 then multiplied by 15. Seated position from rear wall is length of room (in inches) divided by 3,5, or 7. hese are like I said "general guidelines" that we used in the past in our custom installation dept. and even though ultimately it sounds optimal when using those measurements, speakers can be moved a little farther back or a little more to the sides if need be.
