Denon's are indeed a very popular brand of reciever, expecially around these parts. I myself have a 4802, and have enjoyed it for several years. Thats what is so disappointing about this whole switch to HDMI, because now it is basically out dated. I'm planning on perhaps picking up a 3808 soon since everyone on this board has had such good luck with it, but I will definately be keeping this thing around for other duties since it is still a phenominal reciever with outstanding internal amplification.

I actually integrated an outboard amp to handle my M80's since they can suck up 400 watts (not that they NEED 400 watts, but they can handle 400 watts) all on their own, and since doing so I could swear I'm gettin better separation and detail out of the QS8's that the Denon is now powering all by itself. I know it's probably all in my head, but that's where my ears lead! \:\)
