Yes how big is your room bub? I too have a rather largish room, and while exploring the Sherwood Newcastle R772 (same power specs I think) I also ran into problems in the upper range of the volume control. As mentioned my Denon handled my M80's (which require even more power than your M60's) much better. But I'm a power nut, so I went with an external amp. The R872 has pre-outs, so you could go with an external amp as well.

Of course there are a lot of things to explore first to see if you can get the performance you're looking for. But if you really like to listen to your music/movies LOUD, then you may need to look into external amplification.
