My couch is against the back wall and I can't really mount the QS8's on the side wall because on the left side there is an opening into the kitchen and on the right side there is a brick fireplace.

I also play a lot of first person shooter games and let me tell you the QS8's are nothing short of amazing. Even with my couch against the back wall I can tell if someone is walking up directly behind me, behind me to the left, behind me to the right, ect.
