What's the deal anyway, why are subs so hard to get right? Is it because most microphones lack the sensitivity required to accurately pick up those lower octave sound waves, making it difficult for the correction system to do its job of flattening them out? Or is it the nature of those bass notes that make them harder to pick up for some reason and just be a complete pain in the ass with the current correction technologies?

The reason I ask is because it seems as though about 90% of the problems I've seen come up around here while using Audyssey has been with the subwoofer.
