Lee, my own listening is almost entirely classical and as I've mentioned before, supported by a good sub such as my EP500 it fully meets my listening needs(including pipe organ)and there's no need for it to be "full-range". I'd think that your experience with the M22s would be quite similar, but I can't claim that they'd be superior to the M60s in the areas that you mention. The M22s use two of the 5 1/4" drivers for the mid-range, while the M60s use one. At least in theory this should give the M22s greater power handling capacity in the mid-range, although the M60 enclosure is of course tuned lower for bass response. Whether there would actually be any mid-range advantage at sensible listening levels I'd be inclined to doubt, but I've never heard the M60s.
