Yes, leave the sub unplugged for a substantial period of time, but first disconnect one of your main speaker wires and connect it instead to the corresponding pair of speaker level inputs on the EP175(disconnect the coaxial cable RCA plug)to determine that the problem isn't in the receiver sub out.
