OK, I assembled the VP180 stand last night but haven't fastened it to the speaker yet. Like all Axiom metal stands, they are a bit expensive but when you unpack the price seems fair. For anyone into astronomy it's a lot like assembling a Losmandy mount.

First observation was that the combination of stand height and VP180 height put the top of the VP180 about 6" above the top of my screen. In my case it's OK because I'm planning to raise the projector anyways (and the beam should clear the VP180 at the new height) but whatever stand you look at it's worth thinking extra hard about height.

I did have a "Clams got legs !!" image flash through my head when getting ready to put the VP180 on the stands (Wizard of Id for all you kids).
