Probably worse since it was designed differently for better horizontal dispersion when oriented horizontally . Though I suspect a vertical VP180 would sound better than a horizontal M80.


The horizontal dispersion of the VP180 is quite good. I find that I need to exceed 30 degrees off centre before losing 2-3dB. I don't actually have any seating that far off, was just testing / measuring for curiosity sake.
