Hi,

The thing is, how much do you compromise sound quality to get out a successful in-wall speaker design? It's a very daunting technical challenge....Think about it: When you recess a speaker into the wall, the front baffle that the drivers now "see" (from an acoustical point of view) is the entire surface of the wall!

So there's the challenge, and also why in-wall speakers in the past have been rather compromised in sound quality. . .How do you get around the problem of this front baffle of hundreds of square feet??

Interesting dilemma.
