So in summary the QS8 was the best in the height position while the M2 was the best in the wide position (matched w/M80 mains). However, I’m not sure I would recommend paying extra for the QS8s as height speakers rather than the M2s unless money was no object.
Maybe QS4's would be a little bit better. The price is right in between the M2's and the QS8's, yet the QS'4 will have the same dispersion of sound and the QS8's. The slight loss of low frequency extension should make just about no difference in the application, from what Grunt was saying.
