The sound quality will suffer a little by dropping from a VP160 to a VP150. And again, unfortunately, the sound quality will drop a little more by going from a full sized box speaker to the on-wall variety.

Been there, done that. But if on-wall is what you want/need at the moment, then by all means, go for it.

Edit: One option that I was able to do, that not many would have the room in their walls for, is I was able to mount a VP160 in-cabinet speaker flush with the wall under the TV. It's around 17 inches deep, I think. I got lucky and just happened to have a large cavity there, but had to move an air duct.
