I had my iPod classic in my Edge and found that it was doing some funky things turning on randomly and dropping out when playing.

Then it dawned on me. It's winter time and it's been getting down to the -30 that is pretty damn cold. The unit just could not hold any charge on the battery and was simply frozen.

I pulled it out of the car and brought it into the house for the winter time. Now it's warmed up again, the unit is working just fine. I however think that I am going to move over to a 32gb USB thumb drive. Heck, I could even go down to a 8gb as I found that putting all my music onto a single drive never really did much good, You'd never drive far enough in one go to listen to the whole thing. (well over 30 days of continuous music) The head end unit would max out at about 8,000 songs anyways. But I found I listened to probably 2000 songs I really liked. better to put in a $15 USB
