The rack photoed above is the version 2 of the rack that I made for the basement media (mans) room. I took what I figured was wrong with the first one I made for the main floor family room and corrected.

What I found was that the glass panels are 18"x18" that is fine for some equipment but that really is not deep enough. Where I ran into issues is with the speaker plugs on the back of my amps, I was squished up to the back leg that supported the glass. What I made different was I didn't put any cut onto the back leg to support the glass, it is all on the horizontal wood bars that run from the front lets to the back. Also be leaving more of a gap behind the glass allowed for two separate channels for cables / interconnects to run.
