Thats a nice piece of kit , and i dont think the cable is defective just not up to the task it may be causing the reciever or pj to default to a lower resoolution or i may be blowing smoke out my butt. Better to do some different things than buy another projector and have the same issue. If it was me i would just simplify the chain with minimalist setup and trying different configurations.
