1- no problem as long as your room isnt long and you dont sit at the far end.
2- Not really. Our head transfer function makes off axis sounds shift in timber anyway. As long as they arent ridiculously mismatched. Level matched and placed as to not hotspot gets you almost all the way there.
3- need room dimensions and an idea of openings and wall contruction.
4- not unless you plan on tuning your room further by measurements. In spl cases an iphone/ipad app is good. I recommend Audio tools by studio 6 digital.
