Hi folks
For anyone with the passive 110's, have you ever measured what SPL you are getting before they distort? I am measuring with a phone app, so certainly not accurate, but I get a popping sound at around 80-83 db approx 12 feet away. Difficult to be certain but I believe it is from the mids. I am using the ADA 1500 - 4 channel, so power should not be an issue. Always noticed on the right speaker but when I isolated the left it also began to pop at higher volume. I have an old set of cerwin vegas that I swapped in and they are noticeably louder. Not what I would expect. Don't get me wrong the LFR's sound far superior to the vegas but I like it loud. Anyone have a similar experience?
