To the untrained eye, it looks like a mess. But to the highly trained EMC engineer, it is a work of art!
There's an entire subculture that would be reworking that with cable management, RGB lighting, and liquid cooling.
I settled for covering the glass shelf with black construction paper rather than a felt mat or glass frosting. It's just the right amount of low reflectivity and subtlety, and really cleans up the look. Now I'm tempted to use the frosted window film on the lower windows so I don't have to stare at the parked cars.
