so far I only tested the speakers with music. I did a lot of tests with my subwoofer switched on/off to measure the bass performance. The m22ti replaced a pair of AX1.5 which seems to be similar to the M3 speakers. I still have a pair of AX1.5 at the back. I listened to several rock CD (like big shiny tunes) and the improvement is so amazing that even my girlfriend noticed the difference right away.
The bass is a lot better and the mids are a lot more detailed. I didnt have to sit down and hear 20 cd to see the difference. I saw a difference on the first track of the first cd. My girlfriend was thinking the subwoofer was turned on because she's not used to hear bass from our main speakers.
But I still think a good subwoofer is a must for every setup. Even if you listen only to music, it's essential.
When I went to the store, I've heard a lot of speakers. For the price, I can now officialy say that you can't get a better set of speakers.
