You don't have any studs near where you want to mount them? That's somewhat surprising, but ok. Are you talking about the metal anchors with the screw built into them? IE, a very sharp screw inside the anchor where you nail the whole assembly into the wall, then tighten the screw? That's what I'm using on mine, although the center of the T is on a stud.

I don't think you'd want to screw into a metal stud in any case...
