I really have to agree with what you guys hvae said. Being raised in music, it deeply saddens me to see the way the industry has destroyed this form of art in some ways. It seems that since the end of the last "pop-star" trend, they can't find a new style to feed the masses. So they regress to hip-hop. *GAG ME!!* Anyway, I really can't say that I know all of what's out there now since I haven't listened to a radio station is over 7 years. On the other hand, I see enough to know that I still don't like what's in the mainstream. Most music that I find now is from the message boards that I read (here and www.mikeportnoy.com). That's where I discovered Opeth, Porcupine Tree, and all of the incredible classical and jazz suggestions you guys have given. *THANKS A LOT* I still have a bunch of classical stuff I need to order.
