Of Axiom's "pre-packaged" HT setups the Epic Micro is the most comparable to the Energy Take 5.2. I asked a dealer who sells both lines how he would compare the two and this is what he said...

"Either of those speaker systems would be fine for the room size you have in terms of impressive dynamics. The Epic Micro does sound better though; more open with more space between each sound. Voices sound more natural too. The difference would mostly be noticable for music listening; for movies it's not as noticable a difference."

I was not able to do a head-to-head test of the two setups, but in separate tests I found I enjoyed the Epic Micro more for both music and HT. A real advantage IMO is the QS2 quad-polar surrounds which create a very large surround field.

I decided to go with the Epic Micro. Too bad Axiom is discontinuing them. That leaves zero options for guys like me who have to consider the Wife Acceptance Factor .
