Well, I woke up from my nap today, and sitting by the tree is slightly battered box which is labeled Denon AVR-1083. I wonder if this could be the second receiver I ordered from ecost.LOL My first question is should I open the box? OK, I'll open it--here goes. I had to turn the light on first, so I could see better, with my trifocals and all. I never know which lense I'm looking through sometimes. Ok, I have the light on and I will now proceed. I have found the remote, model #RC 921. It's kind of large for a receiver's remote. It has lots of buttons. I have it out of the box and it is definitely more solidly built than my Yammie. I would characterize it as being hefty vs the Yammie as being a glad bag. The receiver itself looks brand new. I can tell the box was resealed, it had some cracked styrofoam. I have plugged it and powered it up just to see it stays on. So far, so good. I will report back when all is set up.
