Abhi, I assume that you've read the SoundStage reviews and analyzed the NRC measurements; 1. from that you should see that with a cross at 80hz the upper bass and midrange of the M2 and M22 would be essentially identical; 2. the M2 and M22 aren't "thin", but the upper bass emphasis present in the M3 makes it sound "fuller" than them in that 80-150hz area, although the M2 and M22 are more accurate there;3.their relative quality for HT is no different than it is for music; 4. I would prefer a third vertical M2 as the center, but the VP150 is considered to be the better of the horizontal centers; 5. the combinations using M2s or M22s would have an edge over the M3 in midrange clarity, but if a slightly depressed lower midrange equates to "sweetness" for you, then the M3 has the advantage there, although it isn't what I want.
