My take on the THX approval is that it's like the "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval": It means that some organization is putting their stamp of approval on a product, but it
doesn't mean that there aren't many other products worthy of consideration as well. Some also feel that the THX certification doesn't mean what it once did, when only the highest levels of performance were "certified". Now, they have lower-quality levels that many, many products out there meet. It kind of diluted the "approval".
I have a 3805 and absolutely love it.... no complaints at all, and it's just big / heavy enough to offer that ....Hmmmm, Jack told me it's not "pride of ownership", but something else.... Jack?
