Based on this info , I would get the upgrade. You'll need to make the decision for yourself, though. If nothing else, it would help with resale. This is $100 well spent.

With what you just explained, this looks almost like a robbery! You might see what the dealer can do to get the upgrade for you before you buy the unit. Denon might do it free for the dealer, or the dealer might charge you cost rather than aving to pay for the whole thing. Additionally, they can go through the aggravation of shipping back & forth.

If you aren't gagging on the $$ and don't mind buying a new MX-700 remote that can be programmed on your PC (an open box can be had for around $180 at surfremotecontrol), this is a great opportunity.
