Don't feel you would be settling for M60's as they are awesome speakers. They are very similar in detail and efficiency of the M80's, it is just the M80's can handle more juice. Overall, I think there are more M60 owners here then M80's, I'm sure someone will prove me wrong
The Yammy is a fabulous receiver, I almost bought its younger brother the 1400, but ended up with the Denon 2805. I'm sure someone will chime in here and give you the scoop. It is my understanding that Axiom recommends Denon or HK or Seperates to drive the 80's.

ps: how big is your room and is this for HT or music mainly or both. I have a 900 Sq Ft room I use my 60's in and no problem..
