Seems to me you need to buy a speaker that won't fit in the cabinet. Have you looked at M80s ?

Is the idea that bookshelf speakers would be able to stay outside of the cabinet and perch on top or something ? If so that is a real good argument for bookshelf speakers.

EDIT, no I think you are saying that you would have to get bookshelf speakers in order to fit them IN the cabinet. Not nice...

If you are not playing super-loud the EP350 should still be fine. The biggest change would be that the sub would need to handle a bit more of the upper bass (M22s are usually crossed over at 80, M60s get crossed over anywhere from 40 to 80 Hz) which isn't so hard on the sub. It's those thumps and explosions which really need the power.
