I'm sure others will chime in with their input, but personally, I don't think that should be your biggest question. I would try to stay with reputible names: Onkyo, Denon, HK, Yamaha, Pioneer Elite, etc.... I would stay away from Sony, JVC, Panasonic, etc... just my 2 cents There really isn't much difference when looking at a 80 watt/channel versus say 100 watts. The main thing to me was that the receiver is a High Current design, and the wattage is Full-Bandwidth rated, it should say that in the description of the receiver. There really is a lot of choices for you out there, depending on your price range.
